Every year, more than half a million babies are born prematurely, and more than 120,000 others are born with birth defects. Many die. You can help by joining March of Dimes Bikers for Babies. Raise money, then get on a bike and ride! Know the power of riding to give all babies a healthy start.



They know it helps babies! March of Dimes riders want all babies to get a healthy start. Bikers for Babies allows riders and motorcycle lovers to promote the support they give to the March of Dimes mission, while educating family and friends about the seriousness of premature birth.

greatest things about being a biker is that we're a part of a community and this is our chance to do something good - help ensure that all babies are born healthy and strong.

More than half a million babies are born prematurely each year in the United States. That's almost 1,500 per day.

13 babies die every day from complications related to premature birth.

Premature babies who survive could face a lifetime of health issues, such as chronic lung disease, or vision and hearing loss.

The average medical cost for a full-term baby is $4,551, compared with $49,033 for a baby born prematurely.

1 in 8 babies is born prematurely.

Premature birth is the leading cause of death in the first month of life.
